Pro choice.Ch. 126Nick's POVI was in the kitchen, eating some eggs I asked Kevin to make for me.Kevin sat across from me, Tina practically in his lap. Thankfully, they had a little more discretion than Alina and Joe did, so they weren't sitting there sucking face. Not completely sucking face, that is.Brenna walked through the front door."Hey, babe," I said, pulling her into my arms once she got to the kitchen."Morning, Nicky," she said, kissing me long and slow; just what I needed after a night without her."Thanks for knocking, Brenna," Kevin said, looking up."You're quite welcome, Kevin. I'm here to make you happy."Kevin rolled his eyes at her, turning back to Tina."I'm here to make you happy, too," she whispered in my ear. I smirked and kissed her again. She trailed her small fingers down my chest."We should go to my room," I said, lifting her up in my arms.Just then, the door burst open and Joe and Alina strolled in. And surprise, surprise, their lips were connected as they walked."Why do people feel compelled to just waltz into the house without knocking?" Kevin asked, irritated. He didn't look up this time.Joe pulled away from Alina's lips and looked at Kevin."Dude, I live here. I'll waltz in without knocking as much as I want to. In fact," he said, taking Alina's arm and leading her back outside at slamming it behind them. We all exchanged confused looks."Do you have any idea—?""Not a clue," Kevin replied, looking at the door. It opened again and Alina and Joe twirled in. One of his hands were holding hers, the other placed on her waist. She had one hand placed on his shoulder.They danced around the living room like that and finally into the kitchen. They kept snooty looks on their faces; their noses pointed upwards and their expressions as if they smelled something gross."Joe, Alina. What are you guys doing?""Waltzing in here without knocking. And proving a point." He stopped twirling Alina around and bowed to her. She curtsied to him.We all stared at each other for a few seconds and then started laughing hysterically."I think I've said this before, but you guys are the weirdest couple ever," Tina said, wiping the tears that had gathered in the corners of her eyes."Joe, I know you're usually a total wack job, but today you seem a little giddier," Kevin observed."Yeah," I agreed, looking at Joe. His smile was extra wide this morning. "What happened?""Oh, nothing," Joe said, sweeping Alina into his arms. "Just had a great birthday." His kissed her hard and pulled away, making a smacking noise with their lips."Did you guys use my present?" I asked, wiggling my eyebrows at them."Nope," they said plainly."Then what did you guys do that was so great?" I asked, confused. What else would make Joe so happy? What else would make any guy so happy? Great conversation? Yeah, okay, ladies, think what you want."We had wild, crazy, mind-blowing, heart stopping, passionate—" Alina shot Joe a look. "—dinner," he finished, clearing his voice. She kissed his cheek."Yeah, we had the best dinner ever.""Okay, just so we're clear, 'dinner' in this conversation means 'sex', right?" Kevin piped up.Tina kissed him. "Yes sweetie," she said patiently."Just making sure.""And you didn't use my present?" I asked, turning back to Alina and Joe, who had started making out, just because they didn't have to talk any more.Joe held up a finger, making to attempt to break the kiss."Hello?!" Still nothing."You have to breathe at some point!""What?! No, we didn't. Alina's on birth control.""I win!" I exclaimed.Kevin sighed, getting out his wallet."Why are you guys always betting on us?" Alina asked, trying to act irritated. She only managed to look flustered. It was kind of cute."Because you guys make it too easy not to," I said counting out the bills Kevin handed me."What was the bet exactly?" Joe inquired."That Alina would go on birth control. I said at least a three weeks before your birthday because I figured Alina would want to be sure everything worked right. Nick said no more than two weeks before your birthday. Since birth control starts working after a week, Nick wins," Kevin stated glumly."Actually," Alina said with a smirk, "I started a month ago on this stuff.""Are you kidding me?" I exclaimed. Kevin held his hand out, grinning, and I handed him his money back, along with a stack from my own wallet."You suck, Alina.""Yeah, she does. And she's awesome at it."Question:How was your Halloween?
