MARATHON PART 4Joes POVI started to walk out my driveway slowly. I didnt have a reason to be happy. Nick didnt want me; I could feel it. I broke him, now hes breaking me. The shitty thing about it all, is how this is the worst Ive ever felt and it isnt even a quarter bad as what I did to Nick. I looked up to his window, and I seen things being thrown on his bed. I continued to watch, hoping I would catch a glimpse of him. My prayers were answered and he stood back to the window. He pulled off his shirt, and stepped out of his pajama pants. I held my breath, and thought of things I shouldnt. God, Joe, you ARE a horn-dog. I turned away, although I didnt want to, and headed towards school.Nicks POVI was so freaking happy. Im going to make Joe mine again. I thought it over; I dont think I could live without him. I waited at my locker; his is in the set across from mine. He eventually went to it, not noticing me waiting for him. I walked up behind him, made sure no one was in the hallway, and wrapped my arms around his waist.Joe: Miley, go away.Nick: *Whispers in Joes ear* Im not Miley.I knew Joe was smiling. He turned around and looked at me happily. Joe: Someones in a good mood.Nick: I was thinking about us.Joe: Yeah? *Looks at his shoes* Nick: What do you say we go on a romantic date tonight?Joe: Are you serious?Nick: Yeah. Joe, as much as what you did hurt me, I dont think I can ever let you go. Joe: Nick, *Eyes well up with tears* I really love you, and I think Ive said it 1000 times now, but I really am sorry.Nick: I think I believe you now. *Hugs Joe tight* But, in order for me to forgive you fully, you need to be comfortable with dating me around everyone. Joe: Huh?Nick: You shouldnt be ashamed to date me in front of the school.Joe: Im not ashamed of dating you! Im ashamed of being gay!Nick: Same dif. *A crowd of people come around the corner* Hold my hand.Joe: Nick, Nick: Hold. My. Hand. Joe: Fine. *Intertwines fingers with Nick* Joes POVI dont think Ive received so many stares. None of the looks were bad, just shocked. I squeezed Nicks hand tighter, and pulled him close. It felt so good to have him in my arms again. We walked down the hallway, passes the Goths, the Populars, the Jocks, the Jocks? Uh-oh. Taylor and Zac looked our way, and I tried not to look at them. I think Nick sensed my fear, because he stopped, turned to face me and kissed me long, hard and romantically. He pulled away smiling, leaving me to catch my breath. And theres no way I wasnt grinning like a goon. Zac and Taylor laughed, pointed, and called us fags. Nick: Got something to say bitch? Joe: Nick, dont. I pulled on his arm, but he wouldnt budge.Taylor: What did you say to me fucker? *Gets in Nicks face*Joe: Nick, come on, theyre not worth it!Nick: Joe, shut up for a second. I said, GOT SOMETHING TO SAY BITCH?! Taylor tried to throw a punch at Nick, but Nick grabbed his arm, and flung him to the floor. I was dancing inside because my baby looks so hot when he fights, and because hes standing up for us. Nick threw multiple punches to Taylors stomach, and everyone else just crowded around. FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT! Everyones screams filled my ears.
